Kim Alan Winslow: Associate Artistic Director, Puppet Designer, Performer
Fifteen years ago Mr. Winslow was a founding member of the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit®, which brings classical circus to the bedsides of hospitalized children, their parents and caregivers, three days each week, fifty weeks per year, in the guise of professional clowns dressed as doctors. As "Dr. Loon," he has gone on to lead the way in creating CCU programs in Boston and Washington DC as well as consulting in the creation of similar programs in Paris, Frankfurt, and Sao Paulo. In addition to his work with hospitalized children, Mr. Winslow performs in the ring for circus benefits outside it for special events. In 1989, through the Big Apple Circus, he created a clown program at Paul Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a summer camp for children with blood disorder diseases. Since that time he has consulted internationally for Newman's Own in this context. <<Back
